Here are some of the photos from our trip on Friday to Stirling Castle. It was an amazing experience and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

Arriving at the castle! So exiting…

Who are these royal kings and queens?.??

We know how the knight stays safe in battle with his armour.

Look at these unicorns, they are the national animal of Scotland.

This Lady in waiting told us all about the baby queen Mary.

The queen’s bedroom was very impressive and her lady in waiting had beautiful clothes.

Look at the old leather football, she told us king James may have played with one like this when he was a little boy living at the castle.

In this room, we found eleven unicorns, then we got to make a wish.

The kitchen area was so interesting and would have been the hottest area of 5e castle.

We saw huge barrels of fruit and vegetables that would have been cooked for the king and queen at a banquet.

In the bakery the servants made all kinds of bread and pastry and cakes…yummy!

In the cosy storyteller’s room, we made some loud battle sounds.

Sylvia had lots of puppets to tell us stories.

We eat Rory the castle lion and heard an amazing story too.

Sylvia let us play with the puppets after the storytelling.

We loved the little castle mice puppets!

Look at this tiny mouse knight! Sylvia made all of the puppets herself.

The castle was full of cats in the olden days.

We came home with a big book about Rory and everyone got a t-shirt with Rory the castle lion on the front!
