This week was a fabulous week for us as we had an amazing visit to the zoo. The weather was not great but we managed to stay dry and didn’t let the lack of sunshine damped our enthusiasm.

The birds we saw were very beautiful and well looked after.

There were a lot of surprises in the reptile house.

Can you spot this Ruffle-necked-lizard?

Shshshshsh! We don’t want this guy to waken up…he’s huge!

Look at this green lizard waving at us!

A bright and colourful parrot.

Two giant tortoises were fast asleep.

These crocodiles were so still they looked likes statues….but they weren’t!

Can you see this crocodiles eyes peeping up above the water?

At the petting zoo.

This reindeer was losing its warm winter coat.

This reindeer wasn’t too interest in us.

The rescued lions were amazing.

We couldn’t believe how huge they were.

The secret garden was beautiful.

We all loved this little pagoda.

A beautiful place filled with gorgeous plants.

This emu made us laugh.

Handling a milk snake with one of the zoo keepers.

Handling a cockroach…it was very tickly.

Everyone fell in love with this little spikey tenrec from Madagascar.

We all had an interesting and exciting time at the zoo and learned lots of new information and saw lots of new animals and plants. This will help us in our living things topic this term. Thank you to the people at the zoo and thank you to our parent helpers for helping us enjoy our day.
