Primary 4 Catch Up

This week was extremely busy with lots going on inside and outside the classroom! It was our turn  to visit the school’s new STEM Zone and have the opportunity to problem solve and build. Using Knex materials we built all sorts from bridges, to wheelbarrows and to whisks. Have a look at some of our creations!

We also had the pleasure and opportunity to visit Scotland Street Musem for our topic ‘The Victorians’. It was a great day from start to end where we got to see what it was like back in the Victorian school days. Our teacher who we addressed as ‘mam’ was very scary and had taught us the different ways school was taught back then. We got to use an ink well and practise our arithmetic on slate boards.

We even vent let the teacher have a break and let us take over the class. This meant we could show off what we have learned about the Victorians.

Last week we also had the opportunity to present our school projects! Have a look at some of the fantastic designs.

This was a lot of fun and it pushed our thinking skills further as we had to explain to the class how our toy works! Those who listened had to rate if we had good presentation skills such as good eye contact and slow pace of speaking. Tune in for more exciting learning in P4!
