Did we mention that we are this week’s ‘Cool Class?’ Well our learning this week has certainly been of Cool Class standard!
We have been learning more about Spain. We worked at different stations to find out about Spanish food, weather, festivals, customs and arts…
- Researching Spanish weather
- Looking at an example of a weather report
- Filming a weather report
- Creating a poster for a Spanish-themed event
- Researching Spanish bullfighting
- Bullfighting. Arguments for and against.
- Learning about the famous Spanish Flamenco dance
- Following instructions to make Spanish fans
- Look what we made!
- Reading about Spanish food
- Making our own Spanish menus
- Yummy! I’ll have the paella please!
Mrs McLean has also been encouraging us to think about our God-given talents this week. In R.E we watched the Parable of the Three Servants and then we read the story again from the Gospel of Matthew. We learned from this Parable, that God gives each of us our own special talents and that we are called to use our talents wisely. Some children shared their talents with the class this week…
- Teaching decimals to the class!
- Sharing art work done at home!
- Helping the class to convert fractions to decimals!
P6 are so good at independent learning (and teaching!) that Mrs McLean might just put her feet up next week and read the paper! Well done P6!
