A Great Week in Primary 5/6

We’ve been busy bees in primary 5/6 this week.

We had an exciting P.E lesson on Friday with a basketball coach. We worked on loads of skills, like passing, creating space and team work. Here are some photos of our fantastic shooting skills.

Monday was interesting too, we carried out a lot of research last week for homework and made posters and presentations. On Monday afternoon we got to present our research to the class. We all worked very hard and found out loads of really fascinating things about the Scottish Parliament.

We looked at the manifestos that some of the parties have published for the Scottish Parliamentary Elections next week. Doing this allowed us to work out each party’s priorities for Scotland. This also gave us some inspiration for creating our own political parties.

On Wednesday we had another very interesting P.E lesson. We were learning about badminton with a coach from North Lanarkshire Active Schools. Some of us found it a little tricky because it was new, but we had very positive attitudes and Miss Brennan was really pleased with our super effort.

In digital learning, we created our own special type of blog on GLOW called e-portfolios. We’re going to use them this term and next year to record our learning. We really enjoyed making them and we’re very excited to get blogging. Here’s a look at some of our first posts.
