We watched a video and did some reading about the Moon Landings. We found out that if you drop a feather and hammer on the Moon at the same time, they both hit the ground at the same time! This is because of a force called gravity. We decided to test the gravity on Planet Earth…

 

 

We talked about the things that we had to keep the same in order to make sure that our experiments were fair. These were the height (that the balls were dropped from) and the timing (of the balls being dropped). After that we wrote down our hypotheses and finally conducted our fair tests, recording our results on a table as we went. We found that, if the test was fair, the size and weight of the ball made no difference! All of the balls hit the ground at the same time. That’s gravity for you!

 

In maths we have been learning about a new fraction called hundredths. Here we are playing a class game…
