Any adult can help support a young person to complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award. This can included helping to monitor their progress in their Skill, Physical, or Volunteering section. Or they may be involved more formally in teaching a young person a new skill, coaching them physically, or supervising them during volunteering activities.

The Expedition Section of the Duke of Edinburgh award is lead within the school by specific teachers who have gained an Outdoor Qualification and have lots of experience navigating and camping in the outdoors. All staff regularly undertake CPD courses to ensure their knowledge and skills are up to date. They also all hold a valid Emergency Outdoor First Aid Qualification.
