St. Mary's Primary & Nursery Class, Cumbernauld

Hi Everyone,

Elfie has arrived at Santa’s Grotto (aka P1’s classroom) and it’s safe to say we are in store for a fun-filled month  on the countdown to Christmas! Whilst it may be a very different Christmas for many of us this year, we are keeping spirits high and have lots to be doing!

Your child will be taking home a letter tomorrow (Thurs 3rd December) regarding accessing Microsoft Teams, if you have not already done so, please could you do this asap. Please could you also encourage your child to practise their Christmas Show songs (links to songs are included in page 2 of the Home Learning Grid).

Please see attached Home Learning Grid with suggested activities to work through with your child for the month of December along with some Christmas Holiday activities you may wish to do over the festive period.

P1 have worked so hard and I am very proud of how well they have settled into their first year at school. Have a very happy, holy Christmas everyone and I will speak to you all again in the New Year!

P1 Christmas Holiday Activities

Hi Everyone,

Please see attached Home Learning Grid with suggested activities to work through with your child for the month of November.

Reading books and book bags will be sent home as of tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd November) and must be returned to school on a daily basis. I would encourage your child to be reading their book each night to develop word recognition and reading fluency.
