The parents/carers and children have been cooking up a storm in their local community centre. They have followed healthy recipes to make wraps, vegetable skewers and a delicious apple crumble. Next week they will be making fruit kebabs and pizza. While taking part the children are learning about good hygiene , weighing and measuring, shape, colour while exploring new tastes.

Parent and Child Forest School Sessions
The first session took place on Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon, everyone had a great time and lots of fun was had. The parents and children took part in some pond dipping and fishing. We even managed to catch a variety of creatures from frogspawn to tadpoles as well as some water snails. Children had opportunities to build relationships within the group whilst learning about the rules and boundaries within Forest School. We are all looking forward to next weeks sessions where we will be exploring the creatures and mini-beasts that live in the woods as we turn ourselves into Nature Detectives.
