The new children have all settled well within the Rainbow Room and are beginning to build positive relationships with their peers. They have been having lots of fun both indoors and outdoors learning how to wait their turn as they explore the changes in weather. Lots of water play, splashing in puddles, jumping in the snow, and listening to the many sounds within the natural environment.
The children within the Early Level playroom continue to learn about people who help us and the role they have in doing so. Recent visits from the Fire Brigade, School Crossing Patrol and discussions about Soldiers have sparked excitement among the children, who have been using books and costumes to take on the role of these important people in our community. Through the use of interactive games using the Smartboard and musical instruments, the children have been learning how to use numbers in sequence during play, with a marching band having recently been established!
