UK Food Sources
Still Life
Room 9 are enjoying being back at school after the Christmas holidays. We are going to be learning all about food as part of our topic work this term. In Art, we looked at examples of still life. In particular, we focused on paintings of fruit. Here we are sketching some fruit in class. Look out for the finished work in a few weeks time.

Santa’s Little Helpers
Miss Jones told us that Santa was looking for some extra helpers this year. We filled out application forms and sent them away to the North Pole. Santa read them all and chose two of us to help him give out presents at the P1 Christmas party.

Scotland’s Songs
Room 9 and 10 enjoyed an afternoon of traditional Scottish songs as part of our St Andrew’s day celebrations. All children sang their hearts out, but more importantly, learned a valuable lesson; YE CANNY SHOVE YER GRANNY AFF A BUS!
Titanic effort for homework!
Miss Jones was really pleased with our Titanic homework this week. Some of us chose to design a passenger ticket or make a word search. Others made a poster or made a necklace. One child even designed and made a dress for a 1st class passenger. Great effort everyone! Well done!
St Andrew’s Day
Today we have been learning about the life of St Andrew. We are making a fish collage with images representing his life and all things Scottish
. They will look great when they are complete!
