Competition

If you’re getting bored can I suggest going to crackingideas.com there is a competition on there to design a useful invention. The prize is a chance to go to the Wallace and Gromit studios to do a workshop with them. Don’t worry if you can’t print off the entry form. They will accept your ideas on plain paper by post. Good luck!

Collaborative Learning!

Good morning Primary 6!

Miss MacDonald has set up a “Collaboration Space” for us to work on things together. It is a space where everyone can work on the same thing at the same time! We thought it would be fun to use this to write stories and do some collaborative digital art!

Below is a guide to access the space. Please read and follow it carefully.

  1. Go to our class Microsoft Team.
  2. Click on “Class Notebook” at the top.
  3. You will see a task bar with Home, Insert, Draw, View, Help, Class Notebook and Open in Browser with an arrow next to it.
  4. Click on the arrow next to “Open in Browser” and choose the option “Open in App.”
  5. A new tab will open with a notification box. Click on “Open OneNote.”
  6. It may ask you to sign here – this means you log in with your GLOW username and password.
  7. On the left-hand side look for “_Collaboration Space.” Click on this.
  8. Click on “Using the Collaboration Space” (it has a pink shape next to it).
  9. To the right, you will see “Hello Primary 6!” Click on this.

You should now see the instructions for our first collaborative task on the page!

Everyone can add their ideas to this space. The aim is to have fun but remember everyone can see what you’re writing, so be mindful.
Let’s get creative and make something together!

Take care,

Miss Cullen

Class Video Call!

Hi Primary 6!

Thanks to those of you who have sent a message on Microsoft Teams! HM asked if we could have a class video call and I thought that was a great idea!

Miss MacDonald and I have arranged to host a class video call on Microsoft Teams as this is a secure platform to have our chat.

This will happen on Friday 3rd April at 2:00pm.

We would love to see you all come along and have a blether with us. If you have been writing, crafting or drawing anything, please bring it along to show everyone!

If you have yet to join us on Microsoft Teams, please look at the previous blog post and your GLOW email. This will help you to access the class chat and video calls.

Take care,

Miss Cullen

Keeping In Touch!

Hi Primary 6!

I have set up a Microsoft Teams group for us to communicate with each other. We can use this space to keep in touch, share home learning and upload any interesting things we have been doing!

You can access this by finding the Microsoft Teams app on your GLOW launchpad. The icon looks like this:

If you are using a phone or tablet, you may need to download the free Microsoft Teams app and use your GLOW email to log in.

Your GLOW email is your GLOW username with @glow.sch.uk at the end.

You should see a message from me in the group. Please post a reply to let me know you have been successful.

Take care,

Miss Cullen
