Hi everyone,
I made a classic mistake! Make sure the password for Oxford Owl has a CAPITAL L AT THE BEGINNING. It will not work if it is not capitalised.
Apologies,
Mr Puim

Good morning everyone!
This week we are back to normal for activities. I hope you all enjoyed Rainbow Week! I saw some wonderful work being shared on the Teams App.
Some BIG announcements today. Tomorrow (5 May) I will be on the SumDog App to play some of the games with you! We will also be having a competition on FRACTIONS all week. 🙂
Also, we are going to try a remote classroom through the Teams App. On Thursday (7 May) we can hopefully all get together and see if a Teams App Classroom will work. I will be going over some of the rules as well on how we will use the Virtual classroom.
To Parents/carers:
Starting this week, we will begin to use Oxford Owl e-books. It is completely free with the class login I provided on your home learning sheets (attached below- remember to download your spelling group). There is also information on how to access this resource on the home learning sheets. There are Literacy activities specifically tailored to the books your child has been assigned. All events that are planned are optional. If you have something planned during SumDog and Virtual classroom time, do not change it.

Hey everyone,
I hope you have had a great week!
This week’s homework is a little different. We are going to have a theme week! The theme this week is… RAINBOWS! I’m sure you have noticed rainbows in your neighbourhood or have maybe created them yourself. This week’s activities will include:
Click on the link below for all your rainbow-related fun!
Remember, I can be reached on the Teams App if you have any questions or want to check in and say hi! It’s been great to speak to all of those who have been using the app. I look forward to speaking with you more this week.
Enjoy and stay safe,
Mr Puim

Good morning Primary 3,
I hope you have had a lovely two weeks! I’m back to adding homework grids for you to work on this week. Same as last time: make sure you pick the right homework grid for your reading group.
The maths homework challenge this week is to create an addition or subtraction octopus!
Here are the instructions:
Octopus legs: draw a large octopus with eight long legs, each split into many sections. Beside each leg, write a different counting rule, e.g. on in 20s, back in 30s, on in 50s, etc. Then write a large number, e.g. 325, in the body of the octopus and fill in the sections, counting on or back from this number to complete each leg.
Maths example counting back (my octopus is looking a bit strange :s )
Hope you have fun!
Remember you can reach me on the Microsoft Teams app if you have any questions 🙂
Stay safe and healthy everyone,
Mr Puim

Hey Primary 3,
I just wanted to wish you all a safe and fun Easter Break. I will still be on Teams off and on throughout the two weeks to see how everyone is doing, but I won’t be posting any work for you to do! ( enjoy 🙂 )
It has been difficult for myself and all the other staff members at Ladywell to not see and teach you all these last few weeks. My thoughts are with you and your families during this strange time. We will all be at school again sometime soon and will be able to share all the wonderful things we have experienced since with all last saw each other. In the meantime, keep safe, healthy and enjoy the time you spend with your family.
Have a happy Easter Break,
Mr Puim

Good morning everyone,
I have created a Microsoft Team for P3! It can be found on Glow in the Microsoft Team app. This will allow us to communicate more quickly but responsibly.
Note to parents: for safety reasons, please refrain from adding pictures that include your children in them.

Happy Monday everyone :),
I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful weekend. Remember to keep washing your hands and stay at home (except for one session of exercise accompanied by an adult).
I have attached some homework sheets to this post to keep you busy during the week ahead. I will post these every week on Monday. You can find the right sheet for you by looking for the name with your reading group on it (Gummy Bears, Haribos, Skittles and Jelly Beans). There is also the 30 Day Lego Challenge I posted last week! These are just tips for activities. If an adult has something exciting planned for you, enjoy that activity! 🙂
For mums/dads/carers:

Happy Friday P3!
I hope everyone is keeping safe!
Mrs MacDonald from P7 messaged me yesterday to say that the P7s would like to challenge us to a SumDog competition! I accepted because we are amazing mathematicians and problem-solvers and will beat them easily! 🙂
I will be setting up a competition for our classes starting from Monday at 9am to Friday. It will be on multiplication skills!
Let’s show them how awesome we are at maths,
Mr Puim
(Note to parents: As SumDog bases questions on your child’s individual abilities, they will not be asked questions that are above their level. All questions are catered to the individual child.)
