Recently Primaries 7 and 6 held a very successful Tea Dance to bring to an end their study of WWII The Home Front. It was attended by family and friends of the pupils and the school hall was fit to burst! The children had all dressed up in the costume of the day and looked amazing! They sang and acted their hearts out, dancing to some of the wartime tunes! The audience loved the experience and were treated to tea and a spot of home baking (which they had donated!) after which they retired to the classroom to examine the children’s topic work and see the displays. The ‘home’ baking and donations which were left were shared amongst the other children in school the next day – there were many happy smiling faces! The school made a donation to the ‘Poppy Appeal’ on behalf of the parents who contributed to what was a very successful day!
Well done children!!!
