Overtown Primary School

Pupil Council

The Pupil Council consists of the house and vice captains from each house voted into position by the children of Primary 4 to 7.

All Primary 7 pupils took part in the election this year and gave excellent speeches – a very hard decision to choose which candidate we wanted in the secret ballot. Results were very close – well done to all who took part, a great achievement!

In addition to our captains/vice captains the Pupil Council will be looking for additional class representatives from P4-6 to help represent the views of pupils in all classes in a balanced and fair way. Interested class reps will write letters to the Council about why they should be selected. The Pupil Council will meet and discuss applications in due course. The first job for our new Pupil Council is to decide what our chosen school charity will be for the year. They will then be working on a Scottish Assembly which will celebrate our Scottish themed day in November.
