Primary 7/6 were lucky enough to have a visit from a ‘real live’ bank manager as part of their Money block! They learned all about British and foreign currency, and even got to handle £50 and £100 notes – a first for the teacher too! They learned all about different bank accounts available, how important security is, and how to make the best of their money. They took part in an interesting activity on ‘wants’ and ‘needs’ and budgeted for a holiday, making decisions where to stay, what to eat and where to go. They were all very money conscious and stayed well within budget! Parents take note!!! At the end they had lots of questions to ask and were given a notebook and pen. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity and learned a lot. Our thanks go to Mr Brock for giving up his time to come in and work with us.
