Today was ‘World Book Day’ so the boys and girls from Primary 4/3 brought in their favourite book to discuss in class. The children enjoyed listening to each other talk about why the book was their favourite and what happened in the story. Mrs Johnstone read ‘The Snail and the Whale’ by Julia Donaldson to the class. The boys and girls then made some stick puppets of both the snail and the whale characters to allow them to re-tell the story in pairs. They looked fantastic and the children had lots of fun as you can see from the pictures!
