The children in Primary Five/Four all made an excellent effort to learn the Scottish poem “A dug, a dug”, by Bill Keys for the in-school competition. On Friday the 13th of February, they all rose to the challenge of performing the poem in front of an audience. They all did extremely well and made it very difficult to choose a winner from each stage! I would like to say a huge well done to the children (and parents) for putting so much time and effort into learning the poem and their actions to go along with it. I’m sure they will have convinced their household that they NEED a dog.
Please see the photos of our winners in action. This afternoon the girls performed to an even bigger audience at the school assembly and did our class very proud. Well done girls!
Miss Gibb.
