At Our Lady and St. Joseph’s Nursery we have a pale blue nursery sweatshirt which can be purchased from ScotCrest. If you do purchase the sweatshirt, most parents buy white polo-shirts to go underneath and then the children can remove a layer if they get too warm.
Most children, however, wear trousers and a top / jumper to nursery daily. We don’t have a uniform rule in nursery the way we do for school. We are just glad to see your child, whatever they’re wearing!!!
Please do bear in mind that your child is coming to nursery to learn, explore and investigate. This means getting dirty…..really dirty some days, especially if it is a Forest Kindergarten day! We would ask that you do not dress the children in their best clothes because chances are, you will be putting the clothes straight in the washing machine as soon as they get home!
