Updated Isolation Dates Letter

Additionally, close contacts who are currently isolating will be able to end their isolation early if 10 days has elapsed since the start of their self-isolation period.

Building Resilience: Keep Connected

As part of our school improvement plan, we will be learning about building resilience.

Resilience is a key factor in protecting and promoting good mental health. This whole-school programme aims to look at ten different things that can help support children to develop resilience.

The programme will run over a three-year period. A parent and carer information leaflet will be provided for each theme. We hope you find this useful in supporting your child at home.

Our focus at the moment is, keeping connected.

Message for New P1 Parents

Dear Parent,

First of all, thank you for your continued support and understanding during this difficult and challenging period. You will remember that our initial plan in June was to invite the children back into school in July to view their classroom environment. However, with the timing of the announcement of full time return to education and working through the new guidance, we have been unable to facilitate this.

I have issued some information today on our website (General Letters) about returning to school. A lot more information will follow. Specific information for P1’s first day will be sent over the next few days. Please keep an eye on Twitter for updates.

Looking forward to welcoming everyone next week.

Just Checking In…

Dear Parents

I just wanted to touch base with all of our families during this very difficult period that we are all adjusting to.
My staff have been working extensively to operate a distance learning programme so that we can provide home learning activities and some level of continuity and normality for our pupils.
We have been using Microsoft Teams as our online platform. This is accessible through the national Glow Schools website. We find the platform works best when downloaded as a separate app or onto your desktop. It can even be accessed through PS4 and other games consoles.  Use your child’s username along with @glow.sch.uk to log in.
Due to the level of demand for the site, access has been difficult for some. This can cause the work folders to appear and then disappear. This can be frustrating. If this happens, log out, and log in later, there is no pressure from us to complete all of the tasks. If you follow us on Twitter, we will retweet other activities that you could do with your child at home.
If you are having ongoing access difficulties, please email us at enquiries@noble.n-lanark.sch.uk and we can discuss an alternative.
We are really enjoying seeing the children’s work being shared on the posts section of the Teams site. However, can you remind the children this is for communication with their teacher only. I have advised teachers to switch off the chat option towards the end of the typical school day. If you need any other advice or support, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I will keep you up to date with any changes or development. Thank you for your continued support, understanding and patience during this time.
Stay safe,
Mr Murray
