Welcome Back

We hope you have all had a fantastic summer holiday. Staff have been working very hard over the last few days to prepare and organise classrooms for the year ahead. We are excited to welcome all of our new Primary 1 children and families tomorrow and thought it would be useful to remind everyone about the arrangement for the next few days.

Thursday 16th August 2018

  • Breakfast Club will start at the earlier time of 08:15am for this term.
  • School starts at 08:55am for P2 – 7. Pupils will line up in last year’s class. Teachers will then escort the pupils to the Gym Hall and we will organise the children into their new classes for this year.
  • Any P7 who would still like to purchase a P7 tie can do so from the school office.
  • Please check your child’s school bag when he/she arrives home, letters will be issued requiring your attention. PE timetables will be issued to parents via email.

Arrangement for new P1 pupils

  • New P1 parents should bring their children to the school gym hall through the main entrance at 09:30am. Pupils will be met by their class teacher and buddies, and then taken to their classroom. P1 parents will have the opportunity to visit their child in their classroom at 2.30pm. Please report to the main entrance where a member of staff will escort you to the infant classes.

Friday 17th August 2018

  • P1 children will enter the school via the infant playground gate at Baird Place.
  • P1 and P2 pupils will line up in the infant playground.
  • All P3 – 7 pupils will line up in the bigger yard. (The children will be shown where to line up by their class teacher).
  • There will be the usual Friday morning assembly for all pupils at 09:30am.
  • P1 – 2 will be dismissed by their class teacher at the infant gate.
  • P3 – 7 will be dismissed from their class by their class teacher. Please ensure your child is familiar with the end of day arrangements.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.
