School Ethos

Ethos

Our school offers a warm, welcoming ethos – this was confirmed during our recent local authority Validated Self Improvement Visit (VSE).

At Newarthill Primary School we:

  • encourage, support and challenge our pupils to reach their full potential.
  • set high standards for achievement, attainment and behaviour.
  • work to provide an engaging curriculum which promotes life-long learning.
  • encourage our pupils to work hard and be the best they can be.
  • encourage all pupils to be involved in their learning and decisions that affect their learning.
  • work as a team to provide a wide variety of experiences and opportunities for our pupils.
  • understand the importance of our local community and continue to build upon our existing good links.
  • promote partnership working with parents/carers.
  • aim to provide our pupils with excellent educational experiences which meet their needs.
  • value the achievements of our pupils and school community and celebrate these regularly through our assemblies, Twitter, etc.

We hope this gives you a brief insight into our work and values at Newarthill Primary School. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
