Literacy – Write a summary

Task – Choose a Christmas movie to watch.

Next write down the main points of the story. Remember a summary doesn’t retell the whole story just the main points. Think about the different summaries we have been writing in class this term. We wrote one together on Monday about the movie Nativity.

Moonbeams

Do the same task but instead of writing – tell an adult the main points of the film.

 

Social Dance

During December we usually spend time learning some Scottish country dances. Due to lockdown we haven’t been able to do so. This week at our PE times Primary 5 will be learning the slosh! Their homework task is to teach an adult. For the children who are absent this week here is a little video clip to watch so you can teach your mum, dad or gran!

Take some time to read this short poem with mum and dad. Talk about what/who are the crib community.  What does it mean by the last line ”It wouldn’t be Christmas without them!”?
