Well boys and girls, I can’t quite believe that we’ve come to your final week in primary school. I can honestly say you’ve been a great class to have, there were never two days the same😉 . I’ve admired the creativity and caring nature you’ve all displayed in your unique ways throughout our time together and you should be proud of all that you’ve achieved. Be brave and embrace the challenges that high school has to offer and remember not to be a stranger, Mrs Baxter and I love it when high school children pop in to say a wee hello. ❤

Something to keep in mind for during the school holidays is to try and keep up to date with Newsround, you’ll find it handy when in subjects like Modern Studies or English.

I’ll post the answers to the quiz tomorrow.

Maths today is a challenge which is set on Sumdog. The challenge is live from 9am – 4pm and will cover a variety of maths themes. I’ll be able to log in and see how you’re getting on. I think the weather is to be rather wet today, so what better way to spend some of your time 😉

I love the idea that with the benefits of technology we can travel to anywhere in the world, virtually. I’ll be posting links both today & tomorrow that will let you explore tourist destinations. Now there are sooooo many available online so if you’d prefer a different location that is not a problem.

Once you’ve explored your attraction, I’d like you to create a poster to advertise the destination. You may choose to complete this as a slide of a PowerPoint or draw this out on paper.

Remember the features that a good poster should have, eye-catching and relevant detail just two characteristics. Once your poster is complete, feel free to email it to me at gw10gribbenlynn@glow.sch.uk

The eco themed idea here can be completed on a very small scale as suggested in the activity below or larger as you’ll be able to discover in the link above. Could be a good idea to keep in mind and work on during the school holidays?

Well it’s come to the last of the transition activities that I’ll be posting, hopefully you’ve found them of use? This last activity I feel, is particularly relevant given the fact that we’ve not been together due to the Coronavirus and you’ll have the opportunity to be creative and have fun.

By now you will have been emailed out your Graduation details and time for Tuesday. We are really looking forward to seeing you all to celebrate your time at St. Joseph’s.
