Friday STEM challenge- create a board game

For our Stem activity I would like you to design a board game. You should give your board game a title and provide clear instructions on how to play it

If you get finished there are some challenge activities which involve making a box for your board game or creating a radio advert for your game.

Good luck!

Friday- PE

Last thing on a Friday we usually have PE.

Why not tune into a Joe Wicks workout to get some exercise. A new video was released at 9am this morning so you will be able to catch up with it. This will be a nice way to end our week and to get us in the mood for the weekend.🎉

Word of the day- Thursday

Good Morning Primary 7, how are you all? I’ve been impressed with how hard you have all been working this week so well done for getting on with it and trying your best!

Today’s word to register with is flabbergasted.  Send me an email or comment on this thread to let me know you are taking part in online learning today.

I am in school today but I will try to be online for you as much as I can. To share your finished work please either upload it onto your personal glow page or send me it in an email. If you let me know when you have done it then I can go on and have a look.

Thursday Literacy- Media

Remember before the holidays we did a few lessons about Media. We looked at some adverts and thought carefully about how they were made.

To continue with this we are going to head over to the digital classroom on Teams. Remember we are in the violet section. The literacy page looks like this.

Today  I would like you to complete the 2 tasks on the whiteboard as well as one of the tasks from the baskets on the right hand side. You can click on the links and they will take you to the tasks.

Down the left hand side are a variety of film trailers which you can use to complete your task. It is up to you which you choose.

I suggest you have a look at the task then look at the film trailers and decide which one you think would be most suitable.

Remeber a lot of the time there is no right or wrong answer and we are just sharing our own thoughts and opinions.

I look forward to seeing your work!

Victorian Handwriting

Since we are learning about the Victorians I thought it would be a good idea to try to write like Victorian children would have done at school.
Take your time and see how neat you can make your writing. Victorian teachers were very strict and wouldn’t have put up with any mistakes or messiness so the children had to really concentrate 😳

Thursday Maths- Area and Perimeter

Today we are going to continue our work on finding Area and Perimeter.

Remember

Area= Length x Breadth

Perimeter= The distance around the outside of the shape.

To find the area of an equilateral triangle, make the shape into a square, find the area of the square and then half it.
