Are you a fantasy fan? Then try Evernight by Ross MacKenzie, author of The nowhere emporium series. Oak National Academy has made Evernight available to read online for free for a week. You can also watch a video to find out about Ross’s latest story, discover his top three children’s books and read a Q&A all about reading.
If you don’t have time to read a book in a week, the Library has multiple copies of Evernight available. It is one of the three titles shortlisted for the Scottish Teenage Book Prize and Ms Boyd highly recommends it!

As part of the NLC Read to succeed initiative, every S1 pupil has been gifted a free book to support their personal reading. Pupils were able to choose from a great selection of fiction, non-fiction, teen reads and graphic novels – and get to keep the book.
