What are bots and how can they spread fake news? This is an excellent article from BBC Bitesize on computer programmes being used to spread disinformation on social media.

The V&A Museum has online games and interactives to bring the building and its collections to life. You can become a master craftsman, explore our new Exhibition Road entrance built entirely in Minecraft blocks or create your own hair-raising 18th-century wig designs. I wish I had a wig to cover my hair at the moment!

This is great – you can watch all the sessions for schools. Lots of authors very popular in the library, such as Holly Bourne. https://t.co/n93IwaP3EG

There are so many virtual tours available to expand your horizons from the safety of your home. Here are a few of my favourites to get you started:
Google Arts and Culture : includes famous museums, galleries and places. Check out Anne Frank’s House, Nasa, Glasgow Women’s Library, Van Gogh Museum – too many to list so start searching by name or map.
Great Wall of China : tour sections of the famous Great Wall.
Edinburgh Zoo : watch the live webcams for panda, penguin, tiger and koala enclosures.
Maeshowe’s Tomb in Orkney : this is a mobile app that enables you to explore one of Europe’s finest chambered tombs.

This looks so good! You’re never too old for Roald Dahl, especially when read by the wonderful Taika Waititi.
We've teamed up with @taikawaititi to present James and the Giant Peach, with Taika and Friends!
Taika will be reading the whole book to raise money for @PIH – and we'll match all donations made.

Fans of the David Walliams book, The Mmdnight gang, can watch a stage version for free until 29th May.
A bang on the head during a cricket match at his boarding school has landed Tom in the children’s ward of a spooky Hospital. Luckily, he’s not on his own with the child-hating Matron and the scary-looking Porter. George, Amber, Robin and Sally are in there too, and they’re not taking things lying down. When the lights go out and the clock strikes twelve, they’re off. But will they let new boy Tom join their forbidden midnight adventures through the hospital’s labyrinthine realm?
This inventive tale of fun, friendship and the importance of kindness is adapted from David Walliams‘s biggest selling children’s book of 2016.
