Homework tasks are set for the purpose of supporting ongoing progress and achievement of all pupils.

After consultation with parents and children, the majority of both stated that homework was beneficial to their child and would like regular homework activities.

 

AT LOGANS, WE VIEW THE PURPOSE OF HOMEWORK AS:

 

• Extending school learning.
• Consolidating and reinforcing skills and understanding.
• Developing skills of organisation and self-discipline.
• Developing the home school partnership.
• Using resources for learning in the home.
• Preparing pupils for the demands of secondary education.

 

Pupils are given weekly homework activities which lists their tasks.

We would appreciate if parents could support their child with their homework where needed and ensure that they have completed the given tasks.
