Welcome Back and Welcome Primary 1

Today we welcomed back all our children, along with some new pupils and also our new Primary 1 class.  Everyone was fresh-faced and keen as they started their new school year.

Primary 1 enjoyed finding their places within their classroom and working with their buddies.

Lunch was a busy time with delicious pizza and roast beef being made by our dinner-ladies.

The children all had a very enjoyable first day and are looking forward to tackling the challenging and exciting activities in their new class throughout the year.

Sports Day 2018

The sun was shining and everyone enjoyed themselves spectating and competing in our annual sports day.

The children took part in a flat race and a novelty race, with P6 & P7 running a relay against each other.

Our parents were great sports too and ran and jumped their way down the playing field.

We finished off a super hot day by having an adult tug-o-war and then a senior pupil tug-o-war.

Everyone went home very tired and exhausted , but also very happy.

Primary 7 Leavers’ Service

Primary 7 had a very emotional farewell assembly where they reminisced about their time at Logans through poems, songs and fabulous powerpoint photograph montages. They performed to a packed audience of parents, carers, family and friends, singing and dancing along to moving and fun songs. Our saxophonists played two super tunes which had the audience swaying. Mrs Tierney also baked a fantastic cake with all the children’s names on it.

They were then presented with a class photograph to remember their Primary 7 classmates. After that some children were awarded prizes ranging from outstanding boy and girl for overall Endeavour, Health and Wellbeing, Numeracy, Literacy and the David Colville medal, the Dux, for overall academic achievement.

Our special breakfast games award was presented to our organiser, who on a daily basis, set up the breakfast club activities with great enthusiasm.

On the whole, everyone had a lovely time and we wish Primary 7 well in their future high schools.

Nursery Graduation Day

Today was a very special day for some of our nursery children. It was their Graduation Day, meaning that after the summer holidays, they will be starting in Primary 1 in their new schools. They were all presented with their new school tie.

The huge audience was treated to lovely singing with every child saying a little speech about what they would like to be when they grow up.

We all watched a picture presentation of the children carrying out all sorts of activities during their nursery day. At the end, the children thanked their teachers by presenting them with a lovely bunch of flowers. Mrs MacGregor accompanied their singing on the piano and was also presented with some flowers.

The children looked stunning in their graduation gowns all made by Mrs Macnamara. The parents thanked her specially for her hard work and she was presented with  some flowers and chocolates.

Mr Tate, the Parent Council Chairperson, took photographs of the children and has kindly donated a pen drive to each one, containing their photographs.

Everyone had a lovely time and afterwards they all went to a nearby hall to have some refreshments and play on the bouncy castle.

Congratulations to all our Nursery Graduates.
