On Monday a new pupil joined our class. It was a lovely surprise for us and a great way to start our week – we are all very lucky to have a new friend.

For Taught Writing this week we all wrote newspaper report explaining an alien invasion on Ladywell. We learned that the features of a newspaper include: columns, a snappy title, quotes, paragraphs, formal vocabulary, photographs. We tried to use synonyms for ‘said’ such as: assumed, stated, exclaimed, added, insisted, told and claimed.
On Friday we started a new HWB topic called Proud to be Me. Our focus was about friendships and relationships with the opposite sex. In groups we decided on what we thought the five most important attributes of a relationship are. Two of the pupils in our class made up a rap about this. Check out their video.
P6/5 performed an assembly for the school about Clyde in the Classroom. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot about ways of looking after the fish in our environment. Two of the pupils in our class worked the sound system. What super technicians!
Until next week,
