HEALTH AND FOOD TECHNOLOGY
Health and Food Technology at Kilsyth Academy is an extremely lively and fun subject which all of our learners thoroughly enjoy!
Learners who opt to return to to study will further develop knowledge of the relationships between health, food and nutrition. They will also develop the knowledge of functional properties of food and safe and hygienic practices in practical food preparation, building on previously developed skills.
There will be a strong focus on the development of life skills and knowledge which will help them make educated choices when it comes to food, health and diet. Learners can look forward to learning fun and exciting information regarding food advertising and consumer rights, again helping them as they progress through education.
HFT provides an excellent pathway for those who have an avid interest in food and a passion for learning new things!
