The Parent Council would welcome further donations of tombola prizes for the forthcoming Uniform evenings, on Monday 8th and Wednesday 17th June. Each Uniform Evening will be from 5.00 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. and there will be a number of special offers available at each event.

The Parents’ Evening for P7 parents will also take place on Wednesday 17th June, at 7.30 p.m., which is immediately after the children’s two-day visit on 15th and 16th. Letters of invitation have been issued via the Primary schools.

Pupils in S1 and S2 have had a fantastic three days at Auchengillan Outdoor Centre, participating in adventurous activities and learning about the importance of teamwork. Despite the inclement weather, pupils participated in a wide range of activities, including rafting, climbing, archery, abseiling and mountain biking. Many thanks to Magi Hamilton, Miss Moir, Mr Parker and Mr Sexton, for accompanying the trip.

Our school show ‘Disco Inferno’ is upon us. It will run for three nights, on Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th June, starting at 7.00 p.m. A few tickets are still available, directly from the school, priced £7 for adults and £5 for concessions.

The Rotary Club of Kilsyth judged our annual bake-off competition, with participants from the S3 Hospitality classes. Once again, the competition was a very high standard and the winners were Martin Murphy and Abigail Newey. Congratulations to them, on this outstanding performance. After the competition, the cakes provided a handsome afternoon tea for some older citizens from the Kilsyth area and we were delighted to welcome them to the school.
