Chippy walk!!!!

Our nighttime activity tonight consisted of a trip  into Oban and a very well received chippy!!!! We walked back to the centre in the dark and had to find our way back using torches!!! It was so much fun but a little scary too!! Some of the instructors were hiding and jumped out on us to give us a fright! Homemade muffins and sandwiches for supper pushed our full tummies to the max!! Building up our energy for all the fun we will have tomorrow!! Xximage image image image image image image image image

A Busy Day!! – Tuesday 22nd September

We have had such a busy day today. We are getting ready to head out for our evening activity but thought you might like to hear what we have been up to so far!

Chloe McL –  This morning I did skiing and it was much harder than it looked. I only fell once which I think was pretty good! I managed to get to the very top of the slope and was very proud of myself because it was really hard.

Rebecca – A lot of today saw me landing on my bottom!!!! I fell out the canoe this morning, I fell in a muddy puddle, I fell in sheep poo and I tumbled down the hill!! The good things about today were that I got to the top of a huge tree that we were climbing and rung the bell. I abseiled down and it gave me butterflies!

Emily – I did Gorge Walking this afternoon and I was trying to walk through the running water and I fell into a pool of water in between two rocks. It was so much fun. The water was freezing. We got to jump into the water off the cliffs and walk through waterfalls.

Neve – During the skiing I fell over and I wanted to give up. I had to persevere and I worked hard to get all the way to the blue ski zone. I was pleased I kept going and didn’t give up.

Dylan – We did loads today. I climbed to the top of a really tall tree and rang the bell at the top. We went canoeing this morning and it was hard because we had to work as a team and all paddle at the same time. When we got to an island, we climbed the hills and had the infamous Kilbowie bars to give us energy for the journey back!

Elise McC – I loved today because when we went canoeing we saw a seal and a jellyfish! We went to shore and found little baby crabs. Canoeing was great fun but it wasn’t easy to all work together at exactly the same time.

Zoe – Today we went in the mini bus and we went down to a gorge. We walked inside the river and climbed up the rocks. We had to trust the buoyancy aids to keep us safe. I swam in the deep bits and was really proud of myself because normally I wouldn’t go in the deep end!

Molly –  Today I learned how to canoe with my group. On the way to the shore we spotted a seal and some jelly fish. Rebecca fell into the water! I learned how to go higher than I thought I could when climbing and that if I tried hard I could do it.

‘Our Thoughts’ – Monday 21st September

Each night a few of the children will update us on what we have been doing!

Elizabeth – We had a group picture taken in front of a massive Ferry! We timed it perfectly. We walked along the seashore. The views were fantastic! Our room looks out onto the river and some lovely green hills.

Findlay – I’ve enjoyed all the meals so far. At mealtimes we need to take our turn at being monitor to clear away dishes and keep the tables tidy. My group did the Safari today. We saw mousetraps but we let the mice free.

Adam – My group went a walk down the seashore. Our group leader pointed out sea creatures on the rocks like limpets and dog wilks and barnacles.

Lily – Today my group were with Derek doing the Safari. I liked when he rescued a mouse from a trap and then let us see it before he let it go in the wild.

Dylan – When we arrived we got a tour of the buildings. We had to collect all of our kit like wellies, jackets and waterproofs.

Mia – Today my group went out onto the beach. We explored the rocks and looked for sea creatures. We learned how to make a noise using a blade of grass.

Kelsey – Today we went on a safari. Derek was our instructor. He was really funny. We looked at mice, voles and ravens and we got to feed the seagulls.

Chloe McSherry – We did an outdoor activity tonight which was really hard. It was called Airport and it was a bit like a treasure hunt in the dark! It was so much fun!

Katie – My group were climbing on the rocks at the seashore which was really hard. We found loads of slugs on the rocks and found out why they were there.

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!
