๐Ÿ’„ Makeup Masterclass ๐Ÿ’„

Over the last 5 weeks a targeted group of S3 girls have been attending a make-up masterclass every Wednesday afterschool from 3-4 with our S6 Captain Niamh Giffen.

Niamh is a well-known makeup artist in the Wishaw area, who works in a salon doing professional make up for clients at the weekends, and she also has her own YouTube channel which showcases the different kind of make-up looks, techniques and trends.

Niamh kindly offered her professional skills to teach the girls and give them the opportunity to develop their own professional make up and interpersonal skills and hopefully gain a dynamic youth award at the end of the year.

The girls have been doing each otherโ€™s make up with Niamh’s assistance. On Wednesday the 29th of November the girls held a Make-Up Masterclass for all female members of staff which allowed them to demonstrate the different skills that they have developed since the course started.

The girls sent out a personal invitation to all female members of staff to come along and see their progress and also have their makeup done by one of the girls. Some of the S6 girls kindly offered to be models for our S3 girls and were very impressed with the professionalism of the girls and the makeovers that they were given. Louise Cairns, teacher of PE and event organizer commented, โ€œKathleen and I have been impressed by the hard work, commitment and progress that the girls have shown over the last month. We are hoping that the s3 girls will be able to do the make up for the Christmas elves for the Victoria Park Party in the next couple of weeks.โ€

It looks like the girls are ready for any event, from catwalk glamour to Santaโ€™s Grotto!
