Jigsaw Family Learning Centre

About Us

We opened in 1990 and are based in the wing of St Barbara’s primary school in Muirhead. We are open 50 weeks of the year providing a flexible service to young children and their families. In line with North Lanarkshire Council’s admission policy the centre can accommodate children from 2 to 5 years.

We provide a warm, safe, secure and stimulating environment. Our vision is to provide a nurturing, learning environment where everyone can be all they can be. We work in partnership with our families and the community to create a learning environment that provides children with opportunities and experiences to become secure in their own learning and develop skills for life.

Our accommodation is spacious, clean and bright. We have a large range of resources that are easily accessible for children indoors and outdoors. Our play spaces consists of:

We have  secure outdoor play areas that offer children opportunities for energetic play and learning, a large physical play space, access to the school Gym Hall, our own bike room to support The Play Together on Pedals programme and we are developing our very own Forest which offers children opportunities to explore nature.
