Welcome Back from Mrs McB!

Welcome back to all our pupils and a great big hello to our very newest pupils in our Primary 1 classes. Already everyone is back into the swing of things and we are all looking forward to the completion of the newest addition to the playground- an outdoor classroom. We are very lucky to be able to share in this fabulous structure funded through Drumpark’s successful bid to Tesco earlier in the year. Can’t wait to see it being used for outdoor learning activities.

Let me know what your favourite bit of being back at school has been so far….I’m waiting….

See you all tomorrow.

Health Week

Primary 7 and 7a enjoyed a fantastic health week at Greenhill. We took part in the Wear Yellow Walk for St Andrew’s Hospice, had a workshop led by Nil By Mouth focused on our recent class novel Divided City, learned some Karate moves and then ended it all with a super sports day! Phew! What a week!

Writing Fun!

Our writing lesson had a bit of a twist in P7a today. We worked in groups to create narrative stories using opening lines that we selected at random. We had great fun contributing our ideas and sharing the workload and look forward to publishing our finished stories.

Transition Visit

The art department from Coatbridge High School visited both primary 7 classes again yesterday to complete the portraits that the children had started last term. These will be displayed at the High School in time for the children’s two day visit and the uniform open evening.

PTA Sponsored Bootcamp for Primary 7

Primary 7 and 7a both participated in a sponsored bootcamp event organised by the PTA. All children enjoyed taking part despite the rainy weather and challenged themselves well throughout the afternoon. Well done everybody! All sponsor money and forms should be returned to the school office as soon as possible.

Primary 4 Maths Homework

clockTime Challengeclock

This term, primary 4 will be learning to tell the time on analogue clocks.  The children will be encouraged to tell the time at home as this will help reinforce what they have learned.  To help with this task, the children can play the interactive time games on the web link below.
