Glencryan School is a Rights Respecting School therefore the voices of all our pupils are important to us. We have a Pupil Council to represent pupils in the Primary Department and a Pupil Council for the Secondary and Senior Phase. Members are elected through a standard election process.
Pupils interested in standing for Pupil Council Representative, address the pupils with a presentation , highlighting the skills and qualities they have that would make them a good Pupil Representative. Pupils then elect the desired candidate to act as pupil representative for that department.
A Pupil Council member from each class is elected and will attend meetings and then feedback any information to their class. After one year, the pupil council role for that year will expire and the election process will start again. Annual elections allow other pupils to have the opportunity to represent their class.
