A Snake of Bubbles with Base 2!
Base 2 enjoyed a science workshop about solids, liquids and gases. They learned how to identify each of them and then conducted some experiments with liquids to make a fizz. Then they added a solid to the liquids to look for fizz. Finally Matthew and Linda, the lovely scientists, did a whopper of an experiment which produced a ‘snake of bubbles’! We had a great time on Tuesday morning.
Fizz, Boom, Bang!
The pupils had the challenge to use an indicator to identify whether liquids were neutral, acid or alkaline and then use these in experiments to create the coolest chemical reaction. We learned about what happens during a chemical reaction and created some amazing chemical reactions like colour change, bubbles, heat and light in our experiments.
Wibble Wobble with Generation Science
Wibble Wobble!
Base 7 had an amazing time learning about sound through the story of ‘Ella’s Wobble.’
Enterprise Microfitness
The Enterprise Council worked really hard to organise Microfitness to visit our school. The pupils created a powerpoint to present to the rest of the school. Thank you everyone for a very successful and enjoyable day.

Healthy Eating and Practical Food Session from Warburtons
Primary 3 had a very special visit from Warburtons this week to learn all about Healthy Eating. We discussed all the foods we should be eating to keep us healthy and those that we should be eating in moderation. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning about The Eat Well Plate, food hygiene and food waste. We were then given the opportunity to create a selection of healthy sandwiches. Linda from Warbutons brought a variety of healthy fillings for the sandwich, which we tasted before adding as a filling to create our perfect sandwich. As a special reward for eating all of our crusts we were allowed to take a loaf of Warburtons bread home to share with our family.
