Mr Fox is going on Trial

We have had so much fun reading our class novel Fantastic Mr Fox. We have had lots of class discussion about how Mr Fox has been stealing and it has led to an interest in our own justice system. Over the past two days we have been researching courts in Scotland and have found out lots of interesting facts. We are currently learning about the different people who would be present in a court room  so that we can act out  our own court case during our drama time when Mr Fox goes on trial.

Can you write below what role you would like to play and state the types of responsibilities you would have in that role?

Looking forward to reading some of your replies.

Friday Art!

We had so much fun drawing our 3D art work today. We used line and shade to create a 3D image of our hands. We also had some giggles when Kenzie was asking his friends if they ‘needed a hand’ ha ha!

Monday!

Hope you are all having a brilliant weekend boys and girls. Can I just remind everyone that tomorrow is outdoor PE day and I am hoping the weather stays dry for us. Please make sure you all have your kit.

See you all tomorrow!

Story Writing

Well done to everybody on completing their fox hunting research last night. We had a wonderful debate based on the advantages and disadvantages of fox hunting linked to our class novel. We then used this discussion to write a discursive piece of writing on wether we think fox hunting should be banned or not. Here are some photos of our class debate.

So proud of you all today and well done!

Well it’s been a busy first week in primary 5/6 and we are looking forward to all the exciting things we have planned.

Our PE days are going to be Monday and Thursday. Primary 5 will be off to the swimming on Thursdays until Christmas so they need to remember their kit.

Our teacher is Miss Wiggins.

Here we are on our second day in p5/6!
