We have one last treat time in Primary 7. What would you like to do for it? Remember to be sensible and think about what is possible and affordable. Try to think about the whole class and what we could do that everyone would enjoy.

Yellow Walk
Both Primary 7 classes enjoyed their day at Strathclyde Park for the Yellow Walk. As you can see it was a beautiful day. We all walked 6K around the loch to raise money for St Andrews hospice. A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored us.

Electricity Pylons
We are trying to create models of electricity pylons using art straws and a small variety of other resources. As you can see many of us chose to work together for this and discovered how important teamwork is.
Summer Term Shared Planning
Click on the link below to have a look at what we will be covering this term. We will be very busy preparing for High School as well.
Outdoor P.E.
This term we have been looking and batting and fielding games and have focused on cricket in particular. We are developing our batting and catching skills and have really enjoyed playing non-stop cricket.
Focus on Food
A few weeks ago we got to make some vegetable curry. We worked together to prepare all the vegetables and then began to cook using the spices. We learnt lots about the food we were making and how to get it ready. It was a fantastic afternoon.
Learning about Kings and Queens
As part of our anti-sectarianism topic we looked at some examples of sectarianism in the past and considered how it made different groups of people feel. We also found out about some of the myths from the past. Many of us were surprised and shocked at some of the things that have happened. Lewis summed it up well for many people when he wrote, ” but we need to respect what everyone believes in and we should all be friends and get on and hopefully one day there will be no fights, wars or sectarianism”. Here are some photos of the drama and treasure hunt that we did as part of this work.
Maths Homework 2
Well done to all those who worked hard on their multiplication last week. We are going to continue with this for another week to give people a chance to consolidate or extend their learning. How did you get on last week? Are you going to keep working on the same times table facts or are you ready to move on to something new. Remember to comment here and let me know.
Sky Academy
We went on a trip to the Sky Academy Skills Studio and had an amazing time making a news report. We had to work as a team and each person did their job effectively. If you would like to see the video just ask one of us as we all have a copy.
