Kara and Jenna were great conductors in today’s music lesson.

I was very proud of all the pupils who have handed in their Romans projects.  A lot of time and effort was put into these tasks so have a look at the pictures below.  More will follow as a few children still have their tasks to hand in.

We have been learning about how Rome was founded through the story of the twins Romulus and Remus.  We acted out the story and then sequenced it with a partner.

P4/5 have been working very hard this morning on writing a report about the issues which affect our food choices.  They came up with some great ideas like health concerns, religious practices and cost.

We have started getting back into school life with working on our times tables to help our multiplication work.  We have been learning and revising the 2,3,4,5 and 10 times tables through games and partner work.

We made some winter art to display in our class.

We made our own Snowman Cupcakes.  We had to follow the recipe for the cakes and bake them in the oven. In the afternoon we made our own icing and decorated them with chocolate drops and smarties.  We made two each and were supposed to share one with someone at home.  I’m not sure many actually made it home though!

We joined with the Primary 5 class to make bird feeders for winter.  This will be part of our work towards our John Muir Award which we will be starting in the New Year.  It was fun but a little messy and the lard didn’t smell very nice.

We are all looking smart ready to party!

We are revising coordinates using a Christmas theme.
