Christmas Fun

We have been working on art and crafts over the past week. Here are a few photos of what we’ve been up to.

We have also been doing a progressive Christmas quiz over the past two weeks. When we totalled the scores our winners were Noah, Ross, Teagan and Rory! Well done to everyone who took part, there was lots of tricky questions.

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and New Year!

Feeding the Birds

We allowed the bird fat balls to harden and then placed them in Honeywell Habitats. We placed them at different heights to allow a variety of animals to get to them. Hopefully the birds will feed well over the winter months.

Bird Food

Part of the John Muir Award is looking after nature and animals. As it is getting very cold outside the wild birds will be struggling to find food. Using lard, bird seed and porridge we made our own bird food balls to help the animals over the winter. It was a very messy job and somewhat smelly! We will be going out to the garden to hang up the food balls so we need to remember our wellies.

Photographs expertly taken by Callum.

Data Handling

We have been learning about collating and recording data over the past few weeks. We completed a school survey on Christmas crackers and cam to the conclusion hat a blue cracker with a sweet was most popular. Hopefully we will make the crackers before we break up for Christmas. We even had to make up our own jokes! Here are some photos of what we’ve been doing.
