We really enjoyed taking part in the sponsored Zumbathon!

We all tried very hard to copy the moves properly and were VERY tired afterwards!  We had a dance off with Primary 4 and we definitely think we won!

We had great fun watching Magic Den perform magic tricks for us.  We got to join in and have a dance at the end – some of us even got a chance to go on stage!

In the class we made our very own Magician hats with a white rabbit inside!

Miss Lindsay finally managed to get some pictures that were suitable.  We agreed to take one serious picture if we could have some silly ones!

Our Class

Don’t we all look fabulous in our school uniforms!

Miss Lindsay was a bit silly and only took a portrait picture so we will have to take a new one to change our blog background!

Sorry!!!

Forestry Commission Walk

We were fortunate enough to receive a return visit from Andy Gallagher from the Forestry Commission. He took us on a guided tour in the Forestry Commission land in Chapelhall. We had three really fun activities to carry out when we arrived. Kevin was in charge of ‘tree art’ where we made the trees more interesting to look at, Caitlyn led an unusual forest walk where we were blindfolded and had to rely on our other senses and our friends and Andy oversaw the bug activity! It was another amazing day, and all part of our John Muir challenge! As we were split into three groups, keep posted to Mr Murray’s page if your group isn’t here.

BUGLIFE

We had a wonderful afternoon with David from the charity Buglife. We walked down to the wooded area behind Harty’s in Chapelhall to investigate our local environment and the wildlife found there.  we found lots of minibeasts and creatures which we examined through the magnifying pots, it was all very interesting! We even made some bug hotels. This afternoon contributes to the 40 hours we have to complete to gain our John Muir award. The sun shone all afternoon and as you can see we had an amazing time!
