Accessing the Blog

Remember, there are two ways to access the blog. You can either log in to glow and go through there or you can find it in the school website under ‘Classes’ then ‘Primary 5’.

Potters

In your book, ‘The Butterfly Lion’ by Michael Morpurgo, one of the main characters wins The Victoria Cross during the war. Can you tell me a bit about the Victoria Cross?

Golden Time

Today, we made balloon rockets for Golden Time. It was really exciting!

Well done to Alex, who was Star of the Week this week. She won Star of the Week because she always does what she is asked to do in class. Well done, Alex.

Dream Catchers

We made Native American Dream Catchers on Thursday. First, we spoke about the purpose of a dream catcher, then we made them using plates, string, wool and feathers. Finally, we wrote instructions on how to make them. Everyone had a really good time!

Native American Homework

As we discussed last week in class, many Native American children had their names changed when they were a bit older. This meant that their personalities were fully formed and their name said something about them.

Dumbledores

Dumbledores, you have recently finished the novel ‘The Best Dog In The World’ by Sylvia Green. The Grangers group will start this book next week. Could you write a review of the book for them? You might want to include what the book is about, who the main characters are and what sort of person might enjoy this book. Remember, don’t give the ending away!

Golden Time

We had outdoor Golden Time this week. We played with dolls and hula hoops on the AstroTurf. Many of the boys wanted to play football. We really enjoyed ourselves.

I’m so pleased that so many of us can get on at home. Would you like to do some homework on the blog in the future?

Hi Primary 5!

Primary 5, if you’re able to log on at home, could you leave a comment and let me know? Maybe your favourite animal or food this time?
