We are all in training for work on the farm. It’s a difficult job & we have been trying to improve our fitness by recording our scores each week.

Allotment visit
We really enjoyed our trip to the Allotment on Monday. It was really interesting listening to Mrs Raeburn explain all about looking after the plants and vegetables. Mr McCartney also very kindly took us to see the fruits & vegetables growing in the greenhouse. We were very lucky as it was a beautiful sunny afternoon. We loved tasting the peas & collecting worms and caterpillars (as long as we don’t leave any on Mrs Waugh’s desk!) Mrs Raeburn showed us the onions and cabbages which are growing really quickly. We did some weeding and watering and we have now written about our visit during writing time. This visit to the allotment has fitted in very nicely with our ‘food and farming’ topic.
Staying Safe
As part of our first health topic on safety, we have been working on some role play about Internet and park safety. It was good fun and now we are working on posters to highlight how to stay safe which we will be displaying in school.
