Primary 3 did a fantastic job today using their notes to write about Moses. They all managed to add speech marks to their stories.
Homework Task
A few pupils have been asking how long they have left to complete their pyramid tasks. I just wanted to confirm that all projects should be in by next Friday 6th March. Then we’ll work on the next challenge of trying to find somewhere big enough to display all this wonderful work.
Thanks!
Drumathon
We had great fun at the Drumathon today. Â We would like to say a big thank you to Helen who showed us how to use the drums and other percussion.

Pancake Day
We used some time this morning to make pancakes together as a class and then wrote instructions for other people to use. Â We enjoyed this activity though the pancakes didn’t all turn out great. Â We think Mr Murray should spend some time practising his cooking! However we each got a pancake and put some toppings on them as a snack.
The Big Dig
As part of our Egyptian topic, we have started a dig in class to try and uncover some treasures. We are working two at a time and are using a small knife (plastic) and brush to try and scrape away the clay bit by bit. We are seeing signs of a mummy tomb so check back and see what else we have found.
Egyptian Farming
As part of our topic on ancient Egypt, we created models of the Nile with examples of the farming which took place there. We added water to our models so we could see how flooding helped the farmers. We learned about the three seasons of Egyptian farming- Akhet, Peret and Shemu.
Christmas Crafts
After our amazing performance of our Nativity this week, we got the chance to make Santa stockings today. We had to sew it together which was a challenge for us (and Mr Murray and Miss Quirk) then we decorated them as a snowman, Santa or Rudolph.

We helped Mr Murray decorate the class Christmas tree today because there weren’t many decoration so it. We also made paper chains and put up some other Christmas decorations.
