Welcome to Primary 2/3 with Miss Moore!
We are all very excited about starting back school again! 🙂
There are 23 children in our class and Henry our Giraffe who lives in our library.
P.E.
We look forward to P.E. on Tuesdays and outdoors on Thursday mornings. We need to try our best to bring our kit. We can leave it in school throughout the week because we love to go outdoors!
Homework
For our homework we are continuing to read our books on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We revise our weekly phoneme for homework too. On a Monday we cut up our letters and sound. We then say, make/break, blend, read and, finally, write the words three times in our homework jotters. On a Tuesday we then choose three of the words and write a sentence using these words.
On Wednesday nights we will be revising our maths concepts.
Thursday homework is to practise our tricky words by writing them three times and writing three sentences.
Topics
This term our first topic is to link what we know about the seaside to the seaside in the past. We will be comparing what we wear, do and see at the seaside. We will sing songs and create and present a puppet show. Our scientific link will be to investigate creatures we might find and which objects float or sink in the water.
Other topics we cover in Primary 2/3 throughout the year include the changing seasons using the novel “The Owl who was Afraid of The Dark” and finally our school business partners.
Please check back soon! 😉
Looking very smart Primary 2/3! 🙂
Sounds like great fun. You’ll have to keep me up to date with what’s happening in Primary 2 and 3 now that I’m in a different part of the school!
What a lovely, smiley class! 🙂
Wow what a fabulous class – sorry that I won’t be spending this year with you but I’m sure you’re having a great time with Miss Moore. Saw a couple of you at the open evening last night and will be popping in to see what you’re up to in the near future.
PS Don’t forget to invite me to see when you’re doing your investigations in science!! 🙂
