Things to remember!

*Gym day is Thursday – full gym kit please.

*Half hour of gym is also done on Tuesdays – gym shoes needed.

*Water bottles need to come to school EVERY DAY. They should be full when they come in. The children can re-fill these throughout the day from our water cooler. It is too long a day and too warm a building to go without a drink so please ensure your child has a bottle with them. We don’t have an endless supply of paper cups and it is a health and safety concern, bringing this from the water cooler to class without spillage.

A warm welcome!

It has been a busy start to our new session. Primary 2 have settled well into their new bay. We have started our new topic which is the traditional tale, “The Magic Porridge Pot” and the children are looking forward to actually making some porridge. They are making puppets from the story and I am looking forward to seeing their performances as they re-tell the story. Reading books have been given out and I expect the children to practise each night. Phonics is now on its second week and we have revised lots of last year’s phonemes already. We are revising our numbers to 20 in maths and we are practising tracing, colouring and cutting out and using scissors safely. Phew…. busy, busy, busy!
