December 2020 – Chapelgreen Room 4

Fairytales

Room 4 were listening to and writing fairytales. They got the opportunity to plan, write and illustrate their own story. Using PicCollage they also designed a front cover for their story. What super imaginations the children on Room 4 have. Here is a picture of their first two pages.

MEASUREMENT

We have been learning about all different types of measurement throughout this term. We have learned about Area, Perimeter, changing metres into centimetres. We have measured out metre squares, read the volume of liquid in containers and worked out their capacity. We will be moving onto weight, next. Here is what the class knew about measurement before we started.

HALLOWEEN FUN IN ROOM 4

Room 4 had a fantastic time during their Halloween Party. They created their own monster in our Monster Challenge and then ate it! They pinned the hat on the witch! They went outdoors for the Scavenger Hunt finding clues around the garden area. Here are some pictures of the day.

HOUSE WINNERS – OAK!

Our 4 Captains shared the house points with the other classes during our virtual assembly on Friday when we celebrated our Effective Contributors. Oak House were the winners and their prize was 10 minutes extra Golden Time. I wonder who will be the winners next week?
