  • Chapelgreen Elections

Primary six and seven have had a busy and nerve racking morning as today was the day they stood up with their parties and gave a speech on the policies they would like to make in the school. After each party gave their speech the voting commenced with the whole school, staff and pupils, coming to make their vote in the polling station. The results will be announced first thing on Wednesday morning.

  • Fossils Investigation

Primary six and seven enjoyed an afternoon of studying a variety of different fossils, some of which had been found in the local area. They used magnifying glasses to inspect the fossils and they drew pictures and took notes on what they could see. Thank you Mr Carter for sharing your knowledge and letting us look at your fossils.

  • P7 Maths Enterprise Challenge at Kilsyth Academy

These four pupils represented Chapelgreen Primary in the Kilsyth Academy Maths Enterprise Challenge organised by staff and S3 pupils.  Although they did not win they enjoyed a great morning of problem-solving activities.  Better luck next year!  Congratulations to Lennoxtown Primary.

As we won the challenge last year we are wishing them lots of luck to hold onto our winning title.

  • A Gift from our Harvest Table

After the harvest assembly, Mr Mulholland and Mrs Davidson worked with pupils to make up food bags for the local senior citizens.   Thanks to donations from Tesco, we were able to include fresh fruit and veg.  Selected pupils and adults went into the community to deliver the parcels.  We did our best to include everyone but if you know someone who did not get a parcel that you think should have, please contact the school to let us know and we can update our list. Thank you.
